Here we go - the second dA account I've had (the first shall remain nameless). I got tired of hiding behind an epithet - I figure having an account with my actual name will make me more honest. Plus it looks more professional. This account's going to be my 'work' one, for chasing up comic book work and illustration work. So, I'm going to be posting pinups, inked and un-inked art, and possibly scripts as well.

Anyway, have a good un, be in touch if you wanna talk about comics or whatever.

Alright matey - you get my email at all? Sent it to your hotmail, so I did...

Your gallery is wonderful! :) You are very talented in multiple areas of art, and your inking is really top notch. Thank you so much for commenting on my picture "Pillow is Ill". It always makes me smile to think that someone got a kick out of my images. Also, good luck on the witcher contest!!! Hopefully I'll be submitting a piece as well pretty soon. B-)
:iconmonseo:
okay so I sent this to another member by mistake, so you would have got it days ago had I not done it when I was half asleep...

so checked the original file of hand man, the one with heavy manipulations, turns out the lines are not as defined as I would have liked but also not surprising, made it at least a year ago and my quality has greatly improved since then, it was an experiment to say the least, tampering with the the translucent qualities of paper when held up to light, but I have a few others, I tend to make many variations with different colour schemes and textures, here is one with minor modifications where the lines are more defined, minor line glow thing going however, [link] I don't particularily want to give up the original yet, I have a few more drawing Ideas I want to get done before I start adding them. You might have seen this one though already, I uploaded it the same day I did the other one.

and apparently the link above doesn't work so I'll to copy and paste the shortcut again...

hopefully it works now

Having had a chance to look at this now, I'd say there's only one point I'd make. Overall, I think the cross-hatching is great, but at the point just above the big digit (thumb) on the left side, it seems to struggle. I think this only for the reason that the lines don't feel obligated by the image, as it were. All the other hatching hints at the texture of the image, the way the skin lies over the skeleton beneath, but that bit doesn't - maybe some more subtle gradation would work better? But overall, I really like it. There's a definitely uncanny air about it.
:iconmonseo:
yes, I did consider that, gradation would also make it more realistic, I did a lot of those in the past and as such I have become a bit bored of that technique hence the new one, it is far more freeing and spontaneous, very fulfilling to do at this time or at least until I get utterly bored of it like the other time and move on or go back to the old style. thank you for your opinion, it was greatly appreciated.
